White House says it will ban Chinese food for Chinese Americans
The White House has said it will not allow Chinese food to be sold at the White House, and it is taking steps to enforce the ban.
The White House said in a statement that it is “working with federal agencies and other stakeholders to ensure that the Chinese American community is not harmed” as it works to promote Chinese culture and business opportunities for Americans.
The White Street Hotel and Convention Center said it was the first American hotel in Washington to serve Chinese American customers.
A ban on Chinese food is one of the top issues facing the White Houses Chinese community.
Many of them said they feared being targeted with a Chinese flag or other merchandise that would not reflect the culture of the Chinese people, and they fear being denied entry to local businesses and restaurants.
