How to watch ‘Zucker’ without watching it at home
The animated film that follows the life of a zoo keeper who has been living at the San Francisco Zoo for a decade, “Zucker” was released on Friday and is available to stream on Hulu, Amazon Prime Video and on demand.
The movie follows the story of Zoo Keeper, the quirky character who has the misfortune of living at a zoo with a zookeeper who has a penchant for taking care of animals, but he can also be a real snob when it comes to their food.
The film, directed by Andy Muschietti and produced by Justin Kroll, also stars Anna Kendrick, Nick Offerman, Kevin Kline, Mark Hamill, Amy Sedaris, and Adam Driver.
The cast includes Kendrick as the “Zuck,” a young female zookeeper who has no interest in keeping animals but has a deep respect for them, while Offerman plays the “Rabbit” who is always trying to help the animal in need.
As a result, he ends up taking care not only of the animals, which he does with a level of devotion that is at once charming and adorable, but also to the very animals he has to keep, which are often more than just the animals that need his help.
The comedy is set to return to theaters on July 12, with an official premiere set for Aug. 14.
It is the first of a two-film order for Muschiotti, who also helmed “Coco,” “Zootopia,” and “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” among others.
