ABC News: Animal Crossing: Animal Sanctuary’s audie animal crossings
A charity that runs animal rescue and rehabilitation centres has shut its doors after its audies animal rescue centres were shut down.
The Animal Sanctuary in Australia, which operates out of a property in Sydney, has shut down its doors to care for its animals following the closure of the Australian Veterinary and Health Association, the ABC understands.
A vet who was also a member of the board of directors at the Animal Sanctuary, Dr Steve Bowers, has also left the organisation.
Dr Bowers was appointed as president of the AVAH on January 10.
“I’m absolutely devastated to be leaving the Animal Shelter,” Dr Bowers said.
“We had the great pleasure of having been the founding members of the Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Association for many years.”
It has been an absolute privilege to be part of the association for such a long time.
“This is very sad for all involved.”
A spokeswoman for the AAVHA said it had been notified of the decision and was in contact with the Animal SPCA.
